Elk County Solid Waste Enforcement Officer

Elk County has hired Mr. David Stubber as a part time solid waste enforcement officer. His services will assist not only the county but PA CleanWays as well.  Mr. Stubber will work with municipalities, property owners and the general public in helping make our landscape cleaner.  If you would like to report illegal dumping or find out more about this position, contact the Elk County Recycling Office at 776-5373.

Reduce disposal costs. Reduce purchasing costs. Reduce storage. Reduce waste and save landfill space.

Small or large quantities of almost any usable material can be listed. Both "wanted" and "available" listings can be posted.

The Elk County Materials Exchange program is a free service that links businesses and organizations that have reusable goods they no longer need to those who can use them. By providing a reuse network, the Materials Exchange program helps prevent usable materials from becoming waste.

Organizations listing items are asked to please respond to all inquiries, even if only to say that you are not interested or that an item is no longer available. Materials Exchange will only work if listers are responsive.

Listers should notify the Materials Exchange if their listing is no longer valid. The Materials Exchange will contact listers periodically to verify that listings are still current. Failure to respond will result in the listing being removed.
