New Voting Machines

Category: Elk County News Published: Friday, 02 August 2019
Elk County has received the first two of its new voting machines from Election Systems & Software (ES&S).  These new machines are compliant with federal requirements and state election law requiring a paper backup of every voter's ballot.  Each of these machines is also fully ADA Compliant to assist any voter with special accommodations.

The remaining machines will be delivered and acceptance tested in late August; and we anticipate using these new voting machines in November's General Election.
Pictured below are Election Board Member Jim Abbey, Elections Director Kimberly Frey, Deputy Elections Director Sue Milliard, Election Board Member Jan Kemmer and Election Board Member Dan Freeburg.

Stay tuned for more updates including poll worker training, an open house for public viewing of the new machines, and more.
