Elk County will be using a new voting system that includes a "paper trail" in this year's General Election.  The Commissioners approved a contract in May 2019 with Election Systems and Software for the ExpressVote Tabulator System.

The ExpressVote Tabulator System combines electronic ballot marking with a verifiable paper vote record (a piece of paper).  The Tabulator System allows the voter to review their voting choices via paper ballot printed by the Tabulator prior to casting their official ballot.

Voters who are interested in a demonstration of the ExpressVote Tabulator System are invited to an Open House to be held in the Courthouse Annex Building, Conference Room #2, at 300 Center Street in Ridgway, PA 15853 on October 15, 2019 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
