Reality Tour-  Apr. 20, May. 18, Sep. 21, Oct. 19, & Nov. 16, 2009

The Elk County Sheriff's Office is proud to participate in the Elk County Reality Tour.  The Reality Tour is a program designed to help children ages 9 and up, along with their parents, face the realities of drug abuse.  It is a tour held each month in Ridgway, at the Courthouse Annex, that compromises a teen skit, arrest scene, prison tour, Heroin Kills video, Hospital & funeral scenes and interactive talks with a Juvenile Probation Officer, Chief Deputy and a recovering addict.

The tour last approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours depending on how many participants are signed up and is run by volunteers.  After attending you also get to take home a souvenir photo of yourself that shows what you might look like after a few years as an addict.

To learn more about the Reality Tour you can follow the above link to the Elk County Drug & Alcohol Consortium or www.realitytour.org
