At the April 4, 2017 Elk County Commissioners Meeting, the Board of Commissioners proclaimed April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Elk County Children and Youth Director Nancy Baker described the "Pinwheels For Prevention" program to raise awareness of child abuse prevention; and was presented with the proclamation from the Commissioners.  Here is a link to the Pinwheels For Prevention news article.
